AVID, Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a set of academic skills and strategies that helps prepare students for college and career readiness.  The Core Skills of AVID include organization, collaboration, note-taking, and higher level questioning strategies.

AVID at the elementary level is designed to be embedded into the daily instruction of all classrooms.  Families can further support these important study habits by reviewing daily planners (4th, 5th, and 6th) or take home folders (K-3) to help your child stay organized, manage their time and keep on top of homework.

AVID Professional Development is ongoing and embedded throughout the school year.   The AVID Site Team meets 3x throughout the year to present strategies that support student success skills, organizational skills, WICOR skills, and increased partnerships.
